Others will probably want more details on the engine or transmission before
they can answer your question with accuracy, but I will say having been an
(aircraft) mechanic, might be worth looking at a newer transmission from
the same series and having an adaptor plate made to fit the new

Thanks for the lengthy response and great description of the construction
of the 25's rudders. It's interesting how they made at least two variants
of the mk1 rudders. Mine is definitely the latter version, hollow bottom
half. Surprisingly the blisters I see are only on one side (portside)
It really does help, thank you. I'll plan to do what you outlined and if I

It's different only because the 25's rudder wasn't originally foam cored
like your's is. It's a plywood/balistol who-knows. So it isn't necessarily
going to support a foam reconstruction. Hoping someone with a 25
to the structure of
