The biggest issue is that the cable is probably permanently attached to the
connection block at the masthead; so you’d need to splice new cable to a
pigtail of the existing cable near that block.
Belden 9534 would be an almost perfect replacement for the existing cable,

Sounds like how my masthead unit slowly died. It became intermittent.
Brought it down and it tested fine. Put it back up and it acted up again
after a short while. It was just too old. Failure of the wire is
possible, but I think less likely. The wire in my mast is inside a
narrow conduit. Not

John — where is the issue with the cable? From the masthead to the junction
box; the box to the instrument; or the connector at the instrument itself?
It’s a simple four-conductor with shield cable; there are generic options for
you. If it’s the plug, that’s a bit more difficult.
