Neil,
If you can get a 35-3 for 25k, close as fast as you can. Mine (1984) is
for sail and is 20k more. It is an absolutely wonderful boat, sails
better than most, fast, safe and will give you many years of satisfied
ownership. I bought mine in 93 and have loved every day I have owned it.

We have the 10' portabote too, and it seems to be the most popular. The 8'
is significantly smaller, but might be a good choice if you only intend to
have 2 people in it. The smaller the boat the easier it is to handle on
deck. I was surprised at how heavy the 10' is. I can "singlehand" assemble
We have a youth regatta coming up with hopefully lots of wind. The time is
Hallow'een so we will be carving pumpkins, but has anyone seen another
worthwhile activity for 7-9 year olds? Last year we made model boats so need
another thought.___

Daniel,
My C 34 is for sale, with an asking price of $25,000 – but I am flexible (I
already bought the new boat ).
Structurally, mechanically and interior all in great shape. Electronics work
well, buy you would likely plan to replace. Always professionally maintained
and dry stored in
Yup. Great boat. Offer, survey, adjust the offer or not, buy, go sail. We love
our boat. Truthfully, the key is a really thorough survey. Decide what you can
live with and are willing to pay for the boat. Whether or not it is a good boat
is easy for all on this forum.

Daniel,
We are also looking at a 1983 C 35, Mark III that is listed at $29,900
so we will be interested in what your final offer is. We are going to
look at a C 32 Thursday for comparison. We have already looked at a

When I got my 17' ODay Daysailer, Jamm Session, it came with a 2002 2hp Honda
outboard, long shaft. That little motor, with its low pitch prop, pushes the
750+ pound Jamm Session around at close to 5 knots. I also used it on my 8.5'
inflatable dink, and once used the dink to tow 17K lb Pegathy
Thanks Josh!
Given that we have sister vessel, that kind of input is invaluable.

Raced on a friends, which included the Chi-Mac where it was blowing 35kts for
quite a while and the boat stood up well even with the chute up. Great boat
and goes well in light air like we have in abundant supply at Lake
Carlyle.You'll love it!RonWild CheriC 30-1STL

Mine is a 10'. It is limited by rating to a 45lbs outboard and 3 people.
Any longer and it would be a real bear to davit over the side with my short
spin-pole.

Daniel,
Welcome to the list! I'm a former owner of a 35/3, but remain on the list
because it is such an amazing group!
Biggest concern is to check the deck for water intrusion. From the photos
the main looks questionable. The ST60s are still great instruments and can
easily be interfaced with
Take a day trip to Mahone Bay. It is nearby and has some very interesting
shops and a great pub "The Mug and Anchor"

As a 35III owner I am definitely biased, but the 35III IS A GREAT boat. Sails
well, comfortable in a blow.

Daniel, thank you for contacting the "list": if the boat is anywhere near as
shown in the photos, you are going to have a lot of great cruising and sailing
in the next several years! Congrats...I know there are a number of 35-3 owners
on this list who will give you more specific advice and
Hello all.
Just put an offer in on a c 35 m3 and looking for advice, additional
resources, reassurance that this is a good boat. I'm upgrading from a Tanzer 26
and am sailing primarily in the Portland Maine area.

I have a 4-stroke power head like that; much less stink.
Making an attachment with a propeller should not be that difficult. I think the
question might be if there is enough market for it.

Hello all,
OK, so I like the idea of the Porta Boat given the ability to fold & stow it on
deck, as well as the reviews I have read. So far, I have simply found very few
negative comments. That said, I am going to try to find one that I like on
Craigslist and see if I can negotiate a test run
