I've thought of it. It would at least mean reworking the lazarette and the small hatch on the port side of the cockpit. You'd need a good amount of storage for the rope - with the boom swung out all the way and with a 3:1 purchase you'd be looking at nearly 70' of main sheet? I decided if i was

FWIW, my 1995 36XL/kcb came with the traveler mounted just forward of the binnacle and was originally a Lewmar model. For reasons that I no longer remember, I switched the Lewmar out for a Harken with a windward sheeting car (that may have been the reason!).  During the install (done by Layline
