Sandhill Cranes present, despite the fact that fields in that area and the rest
of the San Luis Valley are still covered with snow. My guestimation for cranes

Lots of good birds at the Valmont Reservoir complex lately. The highlights from
this evening were an adult GLAUCOUS GULL, 2 adult LESSER-BLACKED BACKED GULL
(there for the past several days), 10 HORNED GREBES and 7 WESTERN GREBES.
