Yesterday, Dec 31, I was amazed to see a turkey vulture battling the
winds, flying southwest north of Neva Rd and east of US36, north of
Boulder. Later, when the winds abated enough to hold binoculars steady,
I tried to find it in case it roosted in the area, without success.

Bill Kaempfer reports that currently there is a Snowy Owl at Jumbo about 1/4
mile south of the campground perched on a pole on the ridge line.

Marcel Such and Joel Such and I birded around northwestern Boulder County this
morning, Sunday, Jan. 1st. Our highlights:
* At Pella Crossing, 1 Eastern Screech-Owl, 1 Wilson's Snipe, 2 Myrtle
