Below dam at Stalker Lake, Yuma County: One very bright PHILLY VIREO, a
TENNESSEE WARBLER and a Baltimore Oriole. The remainder of Stalker and the town
of Wray were nearly migrantless

I have juvenile male Ruby-throated Hummingbird coming to my backyard feeder.
Visitors are welcome. I live at 1721 Cottonwood Pt. Dr. just north of Ft.
Collins. Just come into the backyard, no need to call. Only one feeder up by
the lake. I will get pictures posted in a bit.

This morning at about 8:45 at Cottonwood Glen Park in West Fort Collins, a
beautiful, bright Philadelphia Vireo hopped into a tree in front of me,
posed nicely for photos, and flew off to a nearby tree.

This morning while eating breakfast on our back deck overlooking a private golf
course, I observed a first year Gray Flycatcher. The overall gray color, 2
wide buffy wing bars, and the distinctive tail-dipping action of the bird were
distinctive. The bird was using the scattered pine trees on
Late this morning there was one Lewis's Woodpecker sitting out in the open
on dead branches over the drainage northwest of the reservoir, near the
large cottonwoods.

The wind brought in a turnover of birds at Chico Basin Ranch, but it also kept
us from opening about 1/3 of the nets. Where it was sheltered, we did great and
had a steady arrival all morning. About 90 new birds were banded today,
mostly warblers again, with 40+ Wilson's,

BTW, shortly after Brad posted this, trails at Dixon Creek and Pineridge
(with the exception of the Timber Trail) were opened.
