Cobirds didn't seem to take kindly to my trying to post the Denver Audubon
newsletter about its upcoming Birdathon. My apologies for what turned into such
a mess.
But -- if you'd like to support Denver Audubon through its Birdathon, go to the
website, denveraudubon.org and read about it.
Hi Moderators,
I used to be able to do a "reply to author" on posts, but now it is
disabled for all posts. Can someone please fix this?
Thanks,

Dear CoBirders,
As we head into the peak of spring migration, allow me this reminder:
1. *all CoBirds posts should have a signature line with your full name and
city*. The actual rule for this Google Group calls for listing your *state*,
too, but this really seems much less necessary... but so

The lack of streaking took me another way. Always great to go through the gull

Ran into Glenn Walbeck on my attempt to get more pictures. We chatted a bit on
the finer points of ID and came to the conclusion of Lesser Black Backed Gull,
leaning towards a breeding version of the intermedius subspecies, which is
somewhat darker than the LBBGs we typically get here. So a

Cherry Creek State Park Steve Rash & Tim Johnson reported this gull type

Dear CoBirders,
As we head into the peak of spring migration, with probably lots of posts

I've seen the issue of facebook groups vs traditional email lists pop up in
many states, and twice went so far as sifting through some data to see if a
growing state Facebook group was associated with a decline in email list
posts. Here's the results:

All,
I have been in England for the past week and will be here for the next 10
days. I halted receiving Cobirds messages while I'm away, so I haven't seen
them all, and am speaking without full knowledge of all that has happened
over the past week.
First, let me say that Andy Bankert is a

Dear COBirders,
Thanks to all who post to COBirds, and to those who participate just by

As I noted a week or two ago, there has been a change to list rules

updated I wanted to post again about this to make

I agree 100%!!!
The birdwatching community should not be an elitist group. I dislike the
idea that some folks want to limit those who are not expert in their
eyes. I easily remember when some compilers thought my sightings were not
creditable and would not post them.
