On Saturday morning, we had one Red-throated Loon and two Common Loons on
Marston Reservoir.
The gull roost on the west side had little of interest but has been hosting a
Lesser Black-backed Gull most evenings over the past week.

Hi All,

and east of our house in Larimer County, but likely near Lyons, in Boulder
County. These are the first we've had so far this fall.

With the turn of the weather, I finally put up my feeders. Nothing too fancy so
far. A male Downy Woodpecker is cleaning up at the suet feeder, the Juncos and
Gold Finches are finally back, and of course, the usual House Finches. I was
happy to see a small flock of Black-capped Chickadees and a
Just had EIGHT blue jays together at my feeder in Trinidad at Santa Fe
Trail and Jefferson, 9:30 on November 14. They are not present every day.
After 50 years of western jays, I had forgotten how pretty they are.

Saw a HARRIS'S SPARROW just east of the trail about 4PM. I wasn't
really
birding (bike riding...but had my binocs with me) and this bird was
perched
cooperatively in some tall weeds.
So, it may be easy to find again.
