The Black-bellied Plover was still at Ramah late yesterday (Saturday)
afternoon. It was a bit closer to the parking area
in the north-east part of the reservoir.
In addition to the usual migrant ducks were 2 Common Loons, one Clark's Grebe,
and one Common Merganser.
It is still duck hunting
Just had three redpolls stop in the yard briefly while I was filling the
feeders. Didn't get a good look at them before they flew off but their calls
were distinctive, somewhat reminiscent of pine siskins. Hopefully they will

This morning, I had a beautiful White - eyed Vireo in the nw corner of the
campground. Later, seen in the sw corner. I will add photos later.

Team BrachyRAMphus spent a good chunk of the day searching bodies of water
in eastern Larimer County in search of waterbirds today. Our first stop
was at Boulder County's version of Terry Lake, where we could not find the
Red-throated Loon that had been reported recently. The lake did have a
Visited a few of the Mountain Lakes today. Found lakes near Georgetown,
Empire, and Idaho Springs almost completely frozen. Went up to Summit
County and found lots of open water. In the Silverthorne area most of the
ponds near the Blue River were open. One one of the ponds I was able to
COBirders,
The last two days while not sitting in a meeting room, a few of us were able to
do some birding down in southeast Colorado. Today, Mike Kiessig, Mike Henwood,
David Gillilan and myself started at John Martin Reservoir. Although some of
the white geese have shown up the bulk of the
