Hi all, it’s been a minute since I’ve been on here. Sorry if this has been
reported. There is mating pair (assuming) currently at Rocky Mountain Arsenal.
The location is on the left side just after the 30 MPH sign you’ll see on your
right. There is always a few cars hanging out on the morning
Hey Charles,
Yes, the bird looks like a normal White-faced Ibis that hasn't fully molted
into alternate (breeding) plumage yet. The legs are very deep red and the face
is the pattern of a non-breeding bird.

I've had cedar waxwings in my yard for the past couple of years. I
generally see them in the spring/early summer and assume they have a nest
in a big spruce.
Just noticed them this morning for this season. I think I've seen them a
few times in the winter but can't recall.
So I looked at the bar
Thank you John for the update. I was just wondering about this. I hope everyone
at the ranch stays safe and healthy. I'll hope to visit next year.

I had my FOS Yellow Warbler this morning at Walden. It was a male, flying
from tree to tree near the end of the boardwalk, singing once from each
tree it landed in, as if it were attempting to claim a territory. Later,
there was a male Great-tailed Grackle in the same area, and a female in the

A new month starts today — delighted to see that so many more birders
joined the ebird “Yard Lists” last month (go to explore and bottom center

Also at Walden this morning: 3 pelicans. I missed the male great-tailed
grackle but saw a female actually in the marsh next to the boardwalk. At
Sawhill Ponds: one green-tailed towhee in a shrub not far from the parking
lot; and a pair of wood ducks in a tree on the west side of the refuge.
By way of a nearby yard report, I'm entertaining four visitors in my
Centennial (Arapahoe Co.) yard today: Lincoln's Sparrow, White-crowned
Sparrow (occasionally singing), Orange-crowned Warbler, and Yellow-rumped
Warbler (Audubon's, also occasionally singing). Oddly enough, all four have
This morning I found a Chestnut Sided Warbler at Elks Park in Boulder. It
was by the playground but last seen working west.
Good birding,

Hi
The warbler was first seen this morning at about 08:30 on the west side in the
marsh area just south of Lake Loop. First seen by Mitchelle Bailey, then Joey
Negreann obtained a photo, and later I got a quick glimpse.
