There is a little open water in Smith Lake at Washington Park, near S Franklin St and East Exposition in east Denver. I checked it briefly about noon today and there were about a dozen Herring Gulls there, mostly adults, and other age groups. This is surprising, as past high count for Herrings

Fawn Simonds found an AMERICAN WOODCOCK along a ditch/creek at Bobcat Ridge Natural Area in Larimer County today 1/15/15. David Wade, Georgia Doyle, and I re-found the bird in a different spot it had been seen before, but same general area. The bird moves around sometimes, so look everywhere.
