We are considering switching from NFS to Coda, in our

My quesiton is do we really need to have 4% RVM partition?

How stable is the current version of Coda? It seems like the web site
is not updated very often. I'd like to try it out at work, but if the code
is still alpha, I don't want to have to spend my time debugging when NFS
is pretty stable for what we want to do. Thanks for anyh help.

Hi there
I am thinking of trying out coda for our home-network with a couple of PCs, an
old Alpha and 2 laptops. I am planing to use my main PC as a coda server and
have only clients on the other machines.
Now my question: To access the files from the machine which has the server, do I
need to

Hi Folks !
I have a general Coda Question :
First my problem :
In the moment our Company is locadet in 2 Countrys : USA and Germany.
On both sides we have Linux servers connected to the Internet ( in USA with a
leased line, in Germany over Dialup connection.)
We are working with the Peachtree

Hello!
I can't answer myself the follofing question and hope
somebody here can!
If there are two or more servers
carrying the same read-write replicated volumes,
and if one of the servers temporarily goes down,
that's no problem. Reintegration happens automagically.
But what if

Now I meet a strange thing. I can clog into Coda, but
I can NOT take any operations.
The operations are following :
1) clog
Result: OK!
2) ctokens
Result:
Token held by the Cache
Manage:
Local uid: 503
Coda user id:
503

I am a newer for Coda.
I create a SCM and server and client on same machine ( just for
beginning ). I can start server and venus. Then I clog into auth server.
Now I
want to make a directory lw under /coda.
The venus reports:
mkdir: cannot make directory 'lw': Permission denied.
Pls help me!

Kerberos 5 works
Hi
I have been planning to run kerberized coda in a FreeBSD and Linux
shop. I have also been planning to run Kerberos (on the grounds that,
if I'm going to have network authentication, it might as well be
something that I can use for other things).
Now I'm told that I'm going to need to suppor
