I didn't study any details (yet), but perha
Hi,
Maybe this isn't a coder-com discussion topic, but I encountered for what
the banlist size matter counts kinda the same situation. Sorry for some
non-coder-com related answers / solutions, but in a way it provides a
short-term solution for his problem too.
As I recall, #usa uses some eggdrops

Undernet's AUP prohibits spamming, so you
Hi,
This is just something I was wondering... If I would be abusing in a
channel with my real host matching the folowing mask
*!capricorne@*.kabel.telenet.be, I probably would get banned. I could
return with another host & still get banned. Logicly I could have a second
connection open with host n
Don`t think giving a user an @Guest*.users.undernet.org is so much complex.
(without the removal after 60 seconds and all that) ... Users are given
@Guest*.users.undernet.org
and it will swap to @Username.users.undernet.org upon login and never
showing their real ip.

That sounds like an aweful complex way of original host hiding. Why not
just do the traditional "Undernet.sub.domain.com" or "127.0.0.xxx" instead
of all this fancy stuff?
Cheers,

I think this is a good idea!
HIGH^5 Ivan *smiles*
They get Guest*.users.undernet.org on connect, this immediately hides the IP
of the user, then Services messages the user to login, you log in (manually
or via a nifty client script), then your host is changed to your
username.users.undernet.org.
Was the +x done so that noone`s real host is visible ?
If yes is it possible to give a user
@Guest1.users.undernet.org
@Guest2.users.undernet.org etc etc
on connect. and when logged in it will change to the normal
username.users.undernet.org ?
If no is it possible to add
14 matches
