I suppose a little update. I've recently switched to SHR-Testing and
a little while on SHR-Unstable. Currently there is no import
functionality, but thanks to Aleš Horák, he's created some scripts
called the DBus Access Scripts for handling the SIM phonebooks.

What I noticed is that in most contact lines, the format would be:
TEL;TYPE=CELL,VOICE:5551234567
the sed line pretty much changes the line to:
TEL;CELL;VOICE:5551234567
Now, I'm no expert on
If I understand the sed command it is changing some of the syntax from vCard
v3.0 to vCard v2.1. I guess the addressbook app doesn't handle v3.0 but
doesn't check the VERSION entry in the vCard either.

I've only tested it on 2008.12 and I know it's the same for 2008.8.
I would think that just as long as you're using the Qtopia contacts
app, this would need to be done.

The wiki shows to install a VCF plugin for thunderbird then just
import the VCF into your contacts app. I had a lot of problems wit
