I'm looking for a Mac 128 to add to my collection of classic Mac compacts.
You have that in common with more people around here.
Or trade for some of this wonderful stuff:

one 64 meg stick for 6500

Stumbled on this forum through Slashdot news.
I am the original owner of a Mac 128 (purchased during the first 100
days) that has never been modified.
It has never required repair, and so the case has never been opened.
I would say it is in close to perfect condition.
I fired it up this summer

I would strongly recommend putting your Mac 128k up on eBay. There is enough
interest in these that they can sell for as high as $400 depending on how original
and how mint they are.

Help!
I just partitioned my brand new hard drive AND NOW IT
WON'T MOUNT!
What happened? How can I get it back? It was the one
with System 7 on it (the internal drive of the SE has
System 6.0.8.) I need help!
THIS IS NUTS!

The Computer Works store in Austin, TX still has one on the shelf,
but as I mentioned a month or so ago, they have it tagged at $100. I
wouldn't say it's in particularly nice shape. Fairly yellowed and
such.

Do you mean that the whole drive won't mount or the new partition won't mount?
What did

You have to bless the system folder first before attempting to
start off of it. To bless it, drag the contents of the system
folder out and then back in or until the system folder has a picture
of a mac face on it. Then you should be ready to rumble :)

I have no problem to mount the drive to the desktop of the Plus. The problem
come from the moment I want to boot. The drive loads then stops and the
flashing ? appear... I think that the 20SC does not need the init because
it's a SCSI drive.
Thank you for your help,

I tried your solution but it didn't worked... I tried to move the System
folder and then put it back, I did that several time but the Mac face never
appeared. My floppy does not have that Mac face too by the way...
Finder version is 5.3 by the way. I'll try to get system 6.0.8 soon, maybe
it will
Sorry, I don't think I was clear enough. You need to drag the files
inside the system folder out of the system folder and then back in
the system folder. I don't know, but maybe this only works with
system 6 and up. I haven't actually done this myself, just heard
people talk about it on
Hi everyone! This is my first post to this list, so I'll give you a
little background. I'm a long-time Mac user and just recently got my
hands on a Mac Plus (that looks like a 512) and an SE/30. I'm working
on the SE/30 first, just because it got the luck of the draw ;)
Anyway, the only

What did you use to partition it?
The whole thing won't mount, and I partitioned it with
Disk Tools from like system 7.0.1-- I think it's
something by Norton.
