[CGUYS] Puzzling...
Perhaps one of you could help. I have a LAN wired network with three computers, a router and a cable modem. Working fine. All Windows XP. Then a Toshiba LapTop (Windows Vista) connected wireless to an Access Point and part of the home network. Fine too. Then a fourth computer still o=with Windows ME connected wirelessly to the Access Point. It seems that it is connected to the network OK but it can´t access the Internet and the e-mail. I have tried a lot of things to no avail. The connection is there OK but even in the connection it says that it is connected to the Access Point but can´t access the Internet (and the e-mail). Anyone willing to help? It seems that it is connected to the network OK but it can´t access the Internet and the e-mail. I have tried a lot of things to no avail. CRTs? I haven't bought one of those in almost 2 years, not since LCD panels became near equal in price. I'll be selling what CRTs remain once they rotate out, donating them to a poorer .org or just recycle them. Analog LCDs make *everyone* in my company happy, productive and none the poorer. Digital video makes hardware manufacturers happy. Such inconsistency is hard to believe. You must just be sucking up to top management who are driven more by style than function. You won't be selling or donating CRTs. There are two closing tags for the head block and the opening body tag is between them. She should use a syntax checker. /head body ... /head A friend/volunteer has worked on a web page for a number of years (5yrs.). All of the sudden some of the newer browsers load a blank page. I can open it with the latest version of OmniWeb, but cannot open with the latest versions of Firefox or Netscape. I am told that IE 6.0.2900.2180 will not load the page. She said that she created and maintained it by just using HTML. What is the problem and how can she fix it? This page opens OK for me using Firefox v. 2.0.0.9. Looking at the html source code, there are some obvious errors. First, there are two head sections, one embedded in the other. One head section is all that should be there. Second, there is no /body statement before /html. Our 1.6GHz G5 iMac died this morning. Bad logic board it seems. The pinch is our 3y AppleCare expired two weeks ago. Does anyone have an experience with Apple and grace periods or wiggle room?
