Hi everyone,
Years ago I got a recipe from my best friend. We called it goulash but maybe
that isn't correct. It was ground beef, macaroni, cheese, and some other
things. I can't remember the amounts or some of the ingredients. If anyone
has a tried and true similar recipe, please post it.
Cheese Goulash
1 lb. ground beef
1 large onion, cut in 1 inch pieces
2 large green bell peppers, seeded and cut into 1-inch pieces
1 16-oz. pkg. elbow macaroni
1 small brick (or 1/2 large) Velveeta cheese
1/2-1 c. skim or whole milk
salt and pepper to taste
In large cooker pot, boil macaroni as
In some parts of the country, this is also known as slumgullion.
1 lb ground beef
a few drops Worcestershire sauce (optional)
1 med. onion, chopped
1 green bell pepper, chopped
2 cloves garlic chopped
1 8 Oz. can tomato sauce
1 can (16 Oz.) stewed or diced tomatoes
1 Tsp. dried basil
1/2 Tsp.
Hi, everyone.
I don’t remember where I got this recipe, but I made it for supper tonight. We
are serving it with Macaroni and cheese and stir-fried vegetables.
Enjoy,
Becky
Comforting Cube Steaks
. 4 (4 ounce) cube steaks
. 1/2 teaspoon Cajun seasoning, or to taste
. 1/4 teaspoon freshly
Sorry about the coffee amount missing...about 1/2 tsp instant coffee
crystals
The shortening should read margarine or butter, not shortening.
Strange how those things just happened and I did not notice them before in
the recipe.
