My grandfather was also from Omagh, but I found him in Abbeyleix, Queen’s County, Ireland on the 1901 census. Apparently he worked there for some time (to earn his passage money?). He went from there to Cape Town, South Africa. Within a year he was on the move again - to New York! My grandmother
