You could also intergrate F-Prot (or any other Virus-filter) through Amavisd-new / Amavis-ng. Pro here is that you can block virusses and spam at the smtp-level. The (very) big con is that amavisd-new / amavis-ng run as courier-filter and is not able to edit the message / headers, making it

That's because they're not configured properly, I would not expect Courier to show such behaviour. Most Windows-virusses use fake HELO's and From: addresses and those are easy to spot. If I had the time, I could easily write a perl-script to deal with these. Just a side note: most of these naïve
