we are migrating a customers mail server (courier) to new hardware and a
new country and want to migrate the users over gradually which means
keeping the original server running until all users are receiving mail
on the new server.
On the current server we are using virtual accounts (LDAP). As
in the aliasdir with the contents the
same as above but that didnt work either (550 user unknown)

using Debian etch and Courier 53.3-5, open ldap for auth and quota
coming from LDAP.
Users with the quota entered work fine.
some (but not all) of the other users *without* quota are experiencing
"maildir over quota" errors when mail tries to be delivered to them.
