Hey,
Are there other coworking spaces nearby ? Maybe your prices are too high
compared to shared desks ? Is the design of your space nice ?
You can also post your place on eWorky http://www.eworky.com;) In Paris,
France, there are more and more coworking spaces and an owner told me

Racing to the bottom on price isn't going to solve your problem, it's only
going to exacerbate it.
It sounds like you're doing a lot of push marketing, telling people about
your space and services and expecting them to know that it's what they want.
My guess is that they don't know they
We do have a few people using the space, and we offer separate conference
room rates, so we are bringing money in. We're not completely at the bottom
of our pricing, but we're at the lowest our founder is willing to go.
When people come inquire about our space we let them know that we're not
Glad to hear things are picking up :)
Can you communicate a clear picture to prospective members why your existing

Have you contacted the local press and gotten any articles written up about

I went through Hartford as well and was overall very pleased with my
experience and reasonable rates. I would just like to echo Alex's point of
getting someone that understands coworking or else they will think you are
an executive suite with a lot more extra equipment and furniture and will
I'm not technical and can't provide any great insight but I do want to give

some of the programs you mention, but also incorporate reaching out to

Excellent use of sound bites.
The fact that they nailed the collaboration vs. competition point so well is a
testament to you (and/or, a rather smart writer).
Also great that you showed some social proof in the point about there being
some members already.

This is really good!
You did well, and you were fortunate that the writer got it and didn't
present an inaccurate view of coworking.
Good luck with your community!

Thanks Alex and Tom!
I think the credit for this goes to having spent a year together in jellies
