Hi,
Could we get someone at Valve to limit the mailing list to actual problem
solving and technical questions and server details?

As servercfgfile isn't flagged as FCVAR_RELEASE, it's flagged as
FCVAR_DEVELOPMENTONLY (and hence hidden and non-accessible from the console)

There's several mailing lists and they're rarely moderated. There's no point in
asking.

The current gamemodes.txt is like kick in the face comparing to the old way.
Server.cfg and map based configs in maps/cfg/mapname.cfg are much much better
solution and backwards compatible.

Hey,
I think i missunderstood DontWannaName, sorry. (thought you just want to
apply a cvar to one specific map.)
"+servercfgfile my.cfg" should do the job, it does for me.

Hey,
try to add your cvars to gamemodes.txt. Each map has its own entry,
where you can change the maxplayers value etc.
"your_convar" "1337"
Going this way, only one map is affected, but it would be changed on all
servers using this gamemodes.txt ofcourse.

That's not really a solution though, as different servers run different configs.
Every valve game since half-life 1 has had servercfgfile, it would be
a shame to not include it for CS:Go

There used to be a cvar called servercfgfile that would change the default
server.cfg so you can run different cfgs on the same server install.
Maybe there is a different way of doing it now that I am not aware of?
I tried using +exec in my command line but the cfg isnt executed after
server.cfg.
