You need to just wait or turn sv_pure 0. I deleted the csgo folder. still had the problem. So I also reinstalled steamcmd. Finally got it to start installing. Taylor, Are there any plans on removing the user authentication all together? It seems a bit pointless and it's highly annoying to incorporate it into our auto update scripts. I've got reports here and there that on launch it would be removed, but i have not seen any concrete commitments about that. Nuclear dawn for instance also uses the new steamcmd and till needs user/pwd too. As a workaround for the time being, you could just install the files to one location and update that location. you can create a server-steamacc and use this, you don´t have to own the game any more to create a server... you just need ANY account to log in!
