Hi,
the reason you got better performance with a higher opencl_memory_headroom is
that yours was too low. Darktable tried to allocate memory and failed (because
your system was already using it), to process the image the cpu was used. Now
after you increased the headroom memory-allocation does
Hi Pascal,
Fantastic to see such a major release. I'm looking forward to it being
available from Pascal's (the other Pascal!) PPA repository for Ubuntu.

Tony.

My thanks to all that worked so hard to bring darktable to its current
state, and for making this release possible!
One thing I note on the Windows version is that it seems necessary to
delete the previous version first, then reboot the system before
installing v3.0.0. Previous settings seem
Hi,
I just updated my nvidia drivers to 435 from 390. This didn't make a big
difference for either 2.6.3 nor 3.1.0~git9.962bc9ae3.
So I got curious. My first attempts at 3.1.0 where to copy my config
directory to /tmp and run darktable using the `--configdir` parameter.
Darktable converted my co
Congratulations for the 3.0 release and thank you!
I am not seeing any references anymore on the DT site about support for Canon's
CR3 and HEIF/HEIC format.
Is there any news/update/plan in the works, did I miss something?

I believe you're right. This is why there is option for color space.
And at least some of profiles are made for Adobe RGB which is not
supported by dt yet. See

Hi István!
I believe creator of LUTs is the best adviser in this case. LUTs with
best documentation I have come from ImpulZ (created for video editing).
They define requirements for input color profile (or camera model +
settings, e.g. Nikon Flat or Nikon Standard) and color space.

Hi,
The chain of libraries is described at

I'd say if you remove the config and cache directory you're done.

Can anyone update links in https://www.darktable.org/install/ ? E.g.
links to Win/Mac builds are outdated.

Hello!
We are proud to announce the release of the 3.0 feature release.
It is a very important major release with a redesign of many parts. It
also brings many new features that have been missing for long time.
This new release has more than 3000 modifications since last 2.6.0
release. Just imp
Hi,
How does one use the module with film emulations? Which other modules
should be used, which ones avoided? Should I just set a correct WB,
correct the exposure in a linear way, and add a film emulation? For
example, the readme of the Fujifilm emulations from
