In Ubuntu, standard distribution darktable package depends on lensfun
(see below). Of course, when installing from somewhere else or compiling
from source, dependencies are up to the person installing…

suddenly turns green and I have to back up to orientation to get rid
of the green tint. Why is this?

Ubuntu based distros do not install the lensfun utilities by default.
Liblensfun-bin is required for the latest updates. Arch based distros
install the full lensfun package so the update command is all that is
needed. I would contact whomever maintains lensfun for Ubuntu and request
the utilities b
Looks like you do not have everything correctly installed. What I found
to be critical is to match the driver to the graphics card. I am using
the proprietary driver (not the free). On my system I used the Nvidia
site to correctly select the driver.
