20.10 has 5.74.

Hi,
I just tested darktable 3.4 on new (to me) 11th gen. Core i5 and with
Intel's Gen12LP (LP: low power) GPU. The latter seems to cut processing
time by >50%, from 12s to 5s. This is on Dell XPS 13 Dev. Ed. Ubuntu
laptop. All open source. More details on
Okay, so here is how QT/KDE works… to some extent. Image support is on a
system-wide basis, not per application.
To get AVIF support, I had to update ECM & Cmake, then install the
qt5-avif-plugin. (This means compile all three). Well that did not work, so
I compiled (again) Gwenview. Still did
Thank you, Patrick.

Okay, I compiled gwenview 20.12.2, and, during compilation, it seems that
it uses exiv2, and only recognises FITS, JPEG (JFIF/SPIFF ???), PNG,
SVG,TIFF, & WebP. No indication of AVIF support.
Installed, and found no AVIF support. (& if it did, would not recognise the
metadata).
Will try with
