Does this also means that the supporting code for tethering has been

If not, how do you then access tethering mode?

I think that 'GreyTable' would be more appropriate, grey is always

Excellent. I was getting confused about those modules anyway. Personally
after editing thousands of images, I actually think we would only need
1-2 modules at most. I also find the "In-camera Raw development" on most
cameras quite nice, and darktable should strive to emulate those modes.
Also
Very sad to hear that the dev community is too small to support all
three platforms into the future. And particularly sad, for personal
reasons, at the loss of the MacOS port. But you can only do what you
can do.
