Hey All,
Somewhat naive query but I am finding it very confusing to figure out the
difference in SubDistrict and Blocks of a State.
In lgdirectory website they have list of village associated with a state

subset of the
mats, so can work as all in one document management tool

Hey All,
At Goonj (https://goonj.org/) we have lots of photos (from different
projects/events/ continuous field work etc). So to manage these photos we
are looking for photo management solutions.
We would want one in which we can add photos from the backend (using forms

Hey All,
Wanted to check with you all what is the general consensus on doing Reverse
Geocoding (for points in mostly rural parts of India)?
Should we create a self hosted geo server (which exposes REST API) to do
this? or
Is it better to use any already available and reliable online REST API

Hey All,
Have any of you had the need to show the boundary data (state, district, block,
village etc) in regional language?
If so how did you go about it?
Did you need to translate it and store it in database or is there an android
hack or some other way to show translated data on a phone
Hey All,
Had some query and needed some data at the Block level.
So I had incorrectly assumed that Taluk is the same as Block.
But as far as I understand now it seems like one Taluk can have multiple
Blocks within it.
Is this correct?
Most of the sites have the State, District, Taluk and
Hey All,
I am trying to calculate environmental benefits of Refactoring and
Recycling clothes (other material).
For that I am figuring out the correct measure for such calculations.

Hey All,
I work for Goonj. (You can find more information regarding it on our
website: https://goonj.org/)
Distribution of material for relief/aid is a big part of Goonj’s work.
During the distribution the field staff captures various data points, such
as - geographical information, recipients

Hey All,
I am trying to get village information for all states in India.
I found the district, subdistrict and village data from the 2001 census.
But could not find coordinates of the same.
Can you please point me to any API or website that I can use to get this
information?
For villages the
