I know this is DBI specific, but I'm trying to work on DBD::mysql and
wanted to read up on something. Just wondering - I have been trying for
days to load perl.apache.org, and it times out. Is it just my
connection, or do other experience the same thing? Why would it time out?

looked at some of them and this is due to the older client being used.
This approach is to remove all the MYSQL_VERSION_ID checking and mine
was to add it everywhere. I tend to over do things. :-)

What is different about this release? It uses Eric Day's new client
library, libdrizzle! This means we could eventually package the client
with DBD::drizzle, eliminating the issues I have with DBD::mysql where
