It seems to me that the command
$ apt-file search somelib.so
on Debian Linux amd64 lenny (after # updatedb) does not work. Annoying
when a compilation says that a library libmkl_intel.so) is not
present, while it is present in /opt/intel/mkl/10.0.1.014/lib/32

Running nvidia-smi -L as root restores the visibility of the graphic
cards. At any boot such visibility vanishes. So, it is a small

of the copy is that the molecular-mechanics code can't be compiled
with recent gcc/fortran (its loose fortran is not allowed by recent
compilers) while the wheezy cuda machine is far faster than the old
cpu machine.
