maybe this topic has become old meanwhile, but I'd like to share my experiences
and thoughts on the malformed release file problem during woody-installation.
We installed woody on several coputers now, and each time we stumbled into this
problem. Conversely, a friend of ours did not,
I can confirm my earlier bug report (#139313) being related to a
(probably known) bug in pcmcia-cs (#138309). I replaced the
/target/sbin/probe binary with a copy of /target/bin/true (doing the
testing on a slow machine is a benefit, there was about 3-minute
window between unpacking and

I looked through dbootstrap a bit and it does look like (as rgh pointed out) if
the kernel supports ext3 the ext3 option will be available at install time.

compatible netcards (all of different make, two of them
soft-configurable). I use the idepci set of floppies (even though the
machine has an ISA motherboard) and then fetch basedebs.tar via NFS
