this. I read in bug #321324 (php4-dev) that build-scripts need to be
changed: As of php4-dev 4:4.4.0-1, this is a bug in the build script,

i get similar errors when trying to use fakeroot on a G5 running a
2.6.12-1-powerpc64 kernel (see 323724). The problem disappear when
running 2.6.11-power4-smp (a 32bit kernel).
