IMO this indicates a bug in glGetString in mesa on amd64.
On i386 this program just prints (nil) 0.00, while on amd64 it

While I understand that this bug has been fixed in SVN, it would be

On linux, la files are never *required*, they are useful for

You can close this bug.
The problem was with the driver of my soundcard, which enter in
savepower mode. When I desactivate this option, gxine works without
problem with mpd.
