transfer. OfflineImap doesn't protect against closed IMAP connections
yet (and yes it should do).
It's got nothing do to with encodings.

The eximon script fails to determinate the location of the log file if

I solved similar problem unchecking 'When possible, use the default
character encoding in replies', which can be found in
Edit->Preferences->Display on a tab "Formatting" in the dialog that
appears when you press the "Advanced" button right to the font selector.
