One of the ways of invoking ipconfig is with a colon-delimited list of

It'd be rather useful for integration in d-i, if the hostname provided

Hello,
I've noticed this problem is still the case in the version in Sarge.
ProFTPd supports a -t option to test the configuration, so it would be
fairly trivial to test the configuration and refuse to reload/restart

Hi Ghe,
Would it be possible to make a packet capture of a DHCP lease being
obtained?
This could be a bit tricky to do from the client side, but shouldn't be
impossible. You'll need to ensure the interface you're running dhclient on
is already up beforehand, and pro

I have reproduced this problem with 3.0.2-3 under both 2.4.27 and 2.6.8
kernels on my Ultra 5. Yet to test the version of dhcp3 currently in
unstable.

Hi,
How are you going with packaging klibc? I'm interested in reworking netcfg
in d-i to use it rather than ISC DHCP.

Hi,
Thankyou for taking the time to give the BTS a facelift and bring it into
the 21st century. It looks very nice. It's taking a bit of getting used to,
but I think in another week I'll stop having a double-take every time I go
to look up a bug.
I would have thought that you could avoid having t

Hi,
It's conceivable that a user may be granted sufficient privileges (with
sudo for example) to be able to install software, without being granted
full root access.
To this end, it is preferable that users can't easily
I'm also having a bad time using grub and udev. I think the problem is
actually stemming from the way that mkinitrd is creating the initrd.
I'm using a RAID1 array, and mkinitrd is creating the array thusly:
ROOT=/dev/md0
mdadm -A /dev/md0 -R -u 91c96da9:66b866dc:3bbb9d33:92ceedc9
/dev/.static/d

I've done some more fiddling, and if I use an snmpconf generated config that
isn't based on the existing /etc/snmp/snmpd.conf, I can walk the host fine.
I'm yet to do a line-by-line analysis of the out of the box config and a
working snmpconf generated config.

Hi,
Having recently upgraded from 5.0.6 to 6.0.0, I think the upgrade could
be handled a bit better. For example, a NEWS.Debian mentioning that the
sadf command has taken over some of the output functionality of sar.
Also, it seems that sa1 no
Hi again,
I stumbled upon

the SSH daemon to permit logins without any further reconfiguration.
So maybe this is a bizarre libc6 + 2.6.10 (in my c
Hi,
I'm seeing this problem too. It's a real pain in the arse. Setting UsePAM to
no and PasswordAuthentication to yes fixed the problem for me, but this
probably isn't ideal, as I wouldn't mind getting the UML instance to
authenticate via LDAP.
It's also kind of hard to debug. I didn't have a lot

Hi,
There's been a request for mpeg2encode/mpeg2decode (as found in
ftp://ftp.mpeg.org/pub/mpeg/mssg/mpeg2vidcodec_v12.tar.gz) to be packaged
for Debian GNU/Linux.
I've just had a casual inspection of the source tarball, and I can't readily
determine what license the software is released under.

Hi,
I think it'd be good if the package can provide a mechanism to update
the firmware after package installation. I suspect the firmware file's
changed on people.debian.org since I installed 1.11-1, but my
microcode.dat never got updated.
