I've made a single full backup and tried to restore it. It failed as
well.
Also, being a user of Debian testing instead of Ubuntu, I have duplicity

alternative location to be sure the backup actually works.
Most of the files were indeed

However, I checked just now and it is indeed working. It must have been
fixed sometime between the time I reported it and now.
