You really don't have to keep this paragraph. It's not necessary, just

That particular patch was unfortunately incomplete and will need another update.
I hadn’t got around submitting the updated patch yet.
Sorry for that.
Adrian
pendencies that
were added manually are apparently incorrect in the sense that DAK/mini-DAK

Hi!
ruby2.5 currently fails to build from source on sparc64 due to alignment
issues in the code that have already been fixed upstream [1].
Would it be possible to backport
Hi Colin!
Could you include James' patch to fix GRUB on sparc64 with GPT
partition tables in the next upload?
Without the patch, GRUB is broken on these configurations.
Thanks,

Could the patch maybe applied conditionally, so it's not being
used on 32-bit PowerPC?
I have already notified upstream about the issue [1].

Could this be done for *any* architecture that does not support LuaJIT?
This should include alpha, ia64, hppa, m68k, sh4, sparc64 and x32.

Would be great if something like that could be done for the next upload,
so it's easier to cross-bootstrap ghc again for powerpc and sh4.

Previously, Mozilla only accepted my patches when they fixed the whole Firefox
build on a particular platform which means I couldn't get any m68k patches
merged, for example, but patches for sparc64 were merged.

Looks like they apply the fix conditionally on Solaris only
nux/sparc64 machines, I can also install build dependencies if you need them.
The machine used for the gcc compile farm is also much faster than kyoto.

I will try to look at this issue and provide a patch within the next days.

Hello!
The attached patch by James Clarke fixes the problem.
Could you please include it in the next upload of grub2?
It has already been forwarded upstream [1].

disk structures have always the expected
sizes, we should use padding fields within these structs rather than relying
on the native alignment of the target architecture which can result in
unexpected sizes for architectures with unusual native alignment.

I will try to track this issue the following days but I suspect that one of
the Debian-specific patches is responsible for the problem. I will report
back to this bug report once I know more.
