!includedir /etc/mysql/conf.d/
To include the file:
mysqld_safe_syslog.cnf
Which has the "syslog" option, especially on upgrades that didn't use
the mysql conf.d directory previously.

This attached patch also fixed this problem for me. (Not only /etc/ was
affected; vim seemed broken. ls and cd could use
completion without trouble before, so be careful how you test the

Arrgh - I second this bug report! This really needs to be fixed - I just
spent an hour tearing my hair out trying to figure out why openssh-server
wanted to install X libraries on my tiny embedded system. Given a policy
change with this much impact, there should be a prominent warning in the man

Just noticed you'd asked for the zapata.conf files. Here you go (all
pretty standard stuff -- did change the context to "from-zaptel" instead
of "from-pstn" in order to get freepbx to process inbound routes correctly).
