Hi Dirk and Pino,

I just saw that while Dirk applied the patch in version 3.2.3-5, the Debian
archive never saw it and therefore the bug stayed open while the issue was
fixed.

I am therefore closing the bug from version 3.2.3-6.

Have a nice Sunday,

Bug#824372: debdiff: Bash completion omits some command options

2016-05-14 Thread Ben Finney
Package: devscripts
Version: 2.16.4
Severity: normal
User: devscri...@packages.debian.org
Usertags: debdiff
Owner: !

The Bash completion function for the ‘debdiff’ command omits some
options. For example, the ‘--help’ option:

$ debdiff --h # result: no completions offered.

The following options are omitted:

--noconf(though ‘--no-conf’ is included)
--help
--version

All “short” (single-hyphen, one-letter) options are also omitted:

-h
-v
-q
-w

I will attempt to correct this by re-writing the completion function.

Evince often aborts without an error message. Looks like switching the
windows is one of the factors which trigger this, but in general I can't
see any regularities.

Tt is especially annoying when using AUC-TeX, so I mentioned the problem
first on the AUC-TeX list

http://thread.gmane.org/gmane.emacs.auctex.general/5810/focus=5812

but then nobody was able to reproduce my problem.

I'm having trouble reproducing this too. From your description, it
sounds like this happens when viewing the PDF or switching between
windows?

It happens only on specific PDFs like the one mentioned above. I
stopped working on them for the time being and I have no problems with
evince in my everyday use.

 If this happens regularly to you, can you run evince in a

debugger and provide a stack trace? Please see
http://live.gnome.org/GettingTraces for more information on how to do
so.

Additionally, to get a good stack trace with debugging symbols, you'll
need to install some debug packages. Debugging symbols for Evince's
dependencies can be installed with:

   apt-get install gnome-dbg poppler-dbg libcairo2-dbg

Debug symbols for Evince itself have recently moved to the automatic
debugging symbols system which is still a little awkward to use. For an
up to date stretch/testing system, you can install these by adding this
line to /etc/apt/sources.list:

  deb http://debug.mirrors.debian.org/debian-debug/ unstable-debug main

And running the command:

   apt-get update && apt-get install -t unstable-debug evince-dbgsym \
   libevdocument3-4-dbgsym libevview3-3-dbgsym

Yes, it's unstable-debug, but testing-debug doesn't work yet and Evince
in unstable and testing currently match so it should be OK.

Thanks for the detailed debugging instructions.

I will try to reproduce my problems, but not immediately, as I have a
rather hectic time till the mid of June.

Best regards

Bug#824371: git-extras: installs Bash completion script to wrong directory

2016-05-14 Thread Ben Finney
Package: git-extras
Version: 4.1.0-1
Severity: normal

According to ‘/usr/share/doc/bash-completion/README.Debian’:

Completions are kept in /usr/share/bash-completion/completions.

The Bash completion script for ‘git-extras’ is installed to the wrong
location, ‘/usr/share/bash_completion/git-extras’ (note the incorrect
underscore “_”).

To be effective the file should be installed to
‘/usr/share/bash-completion/completions/git-extras’.

This is done correctly by the Debhelper tool ‘dh_bash-completion(1)’
if it is configured to do so.

These "Packages" files had a parallel .xz version in the cache, and also
a .gz on the upstream server. Now that you mention it, it's possible the
uncompressed files were the result of pdiff patching... although
wouldn't there not be .head files then?

Whatever their provenance, acng should not have sent out e-mail about
them. The 404 errors were either expected (when the uncompressed file is
a creation of acng that does not exist on the server) or non-fatal
(when other forms of the same index file are present for expiration
purposes). Neither situation should require intervention from the admin.

Correct, my mirrors certainly don't have those files. There were also
empties for armhf, s390x, etc. and I don't have clients on those either.

I'm just using the "primary" U.S. mirror servers, http.us.debian.org and
us.archive.ubuntu.com. There are other repositories as well, but the
problem is already observable with these.

I do notice that [Ubuntu xenial] InRelease lists a bunch of things that
are actually not available from the "primary" mirror, like binary-
arm64/*, binary-powerpc/*, etc. Is acng assuming that a mirror server
can provide everything that is in InRelease?

Okay, so acng creates those empty files. It shouldn't complain, then, if
it can't download those files from the upstream. Just because InRelease
describes X doesn't mean that X can actually be downloaded from that
(same) server, at least in the Ubuntu case.

It's pretty big. My point is, "Check all" appears to select more files
than just those with a checkbox. None of the amd64/i386 index files had
trouble downloading, so none of those had checkboxes, and yet there they
are on the delete-confirmation page after "Check all."

I looked through the whole list, and didn't see a checkbox for any
amd64/i386 index file. And the Release file didn't have a checkbox,
because it was downloadable.

(Isn't the fact that acng was about to expire-delete the Release file
for the current Ubuntu release a pretty clear indicator in itself that
something's not right? Sure, maybe if all files on the upstream server
suddenly disappeared. But short of something extraordinary like that,
this should never happen.)

I'll send you some telemetry soon, probably off-list due to its bulk.
The behavior is consistently reproducible, much to my aggravation, but
at least that should make catching it easy.

Bug#612242: tracker: Really high CPU Usage and Memory Leak

Bug#824368: fsm-lite: uses bad CPPFLAGS; always tries to build with -msse4.2

2016-05-14 Thread Aaron M. Ucko
Source: fsm-lite
Version: 1.0-1
Severity: important
Justification: fails to build from source

Hi, Andreas.

Builds of fsm-lite for non-x86 architectures have been failing:

  g++: error: unrecognized command line option '-msse4.2'
  : recipe for target 'configuration.o' failed

The issue turns out to be with the CPPFLAGS setting in the upstream
Makefile, which I found to be problematic in various ways. From most
to least severe (at least arguably):

* It insists on building with -msse4.2, which is only an option on
  x86, and even there results in binaries that don't run on older
  hardware.

* It loses any preexisting CPPFLAGS setting, thereby missing the usual
  -D_FORTIFY_SOURCE=2.

* It insists on building with -O3, even in noopt builds.

* It pulls in ~/software/include, which could theoretically have bogus
  content.

* It generally contains flags that would be more appropriate for
  CXXFLAGS.

As such, I'd suggest replacing that setting with

CPPFLAGS += -DNDEBUG
CXXFLAGS += -std=c++11

Also, the depend target should use CPPFLAGS and CXXFLAGS rather than
duplicating any of their contents, but that's less of a big deal.

Could you please take a look?

Thanks!

I failed to read this closely enough the first time.

This is actually not the intended behaviour, though: the meaning of the
-Z option is to attempt TLS, but continue without it (cleartext) if the
startTLS operation fails. Therefore using TLS_REQCERT allow and -ZZ is a
better solution.

Actual behaviour
Failure with non-descriptive error, debug shows
ldap_start_tls: Connect error (-11)

... but this is not the expected behaviour, either way!

There's something odd going on after the certificate is rejected - may
be a bug in the GnuTLS support, or in the core TLS implementation - it
looks like the client sends a plain Bind request while the the server is
still expecting a TLS handshake, possibly. But I'd rather discourage the
use of this fallback to cleartext anyway, so I'm not going to look
further into that right now. And an OpenSSL-linked slapd closes the
connection outright after the TLS negotiation fails, which seems like
the more prudent thing to do.

After playing a bit with the issue, I noticed that the Flash installation fails
because the script that gets the current upstream version number times out
while trying to download Adobe's main page. Increasing the timeout of the wget
command used (line 37, get-upstream-version.pl) fixed the issue.

Also, this is not grave, as it only affects users with really lousy Internet

It seems to me the script (get-upstream-version.pl) needs an update to

I think I can split this big commit in multiple commits, one for each file.
If needed I will do it.

Bug#741945: evince: in fullscreen, the toolbar hides the top of the side pane

Control: fixed -1 3.14.1-2
Control: tags -1 upstream fixed-upstream
Control: forwarded -1 https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=696643

To summarize the situation, the main problem has been fixed upstream
in the following commit:

commit 51b8ebc2226bc11e4dabab04423c096a8c89b8ae
Author: Giselle Machado
Date:   2014-03-30

Show fullscreen toolbar only when moving the mouse to the top of
the screen

When in fullscreen, the toolbar is hidden on the
top of the screen. Moving the mouse there makes
the toolbar appears and removing it makes it
disappear again.

https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=696643

M   shell/ev-window.c

but the current behavior can still be annoying in certain cases, where
one needs to wait for a few seconds before being able to access to the
top of the sidebar. That's why the upstream bug is still open. But I
don't think it is useful to reopen the Debian bug. Debian users should
be able to reach this bug via a search engine, then go to the upstream
bug if need be.

Oif. I guess trying to split this big commit would be far more work than
just reviewing it the hard way, so there's nothing that can be done here.
That's unfortunate as it raises the difficulty of review considerably.

As gnustep-make is a complex package I'm not familiar with, I'm afraid
I'll leave it to someone with more time and experience.

Apologies.

Hi Guido,

I just figured out that the following command, ran after gbp import-dsc, does
what I want:

git commit --amend --reset-author --no-edit

So in the end, as an alternative to add the option, the command above could be
just mention the somewhere in the manual page.

I can't reproduce the problem either with the current version.
I can't even reproduce it with evince 3.14.1-2 from stable.

As there's LOADS of packaging changes, could you please push them to a VCS?
That'd make reviewing greatly easier. From the new changelog I assume you
used git, I just don't see anything new past 2.6.6-3 on any branches on
pkg-gnustep/gnustep-make.git.

If for whatever reason you can't/don't want to push your changes there (no

now. I just don't feel like going through such a huge diff unassisted.

Bug#824364: Subject: spice-vdagent: resize not working with qxl

2016-05-14 Thread Gedalya
Package: spice-vdagent
Version: 0.15.0-1.3

Dear Maintainer,

Running Debian Stretch as a guest under KVM using virt-manager. The host is
also running Debian Stretch.
Using MATE with lightdm, in case that matters.
Resizing the VM viewer window doesn't cause spice-vdagent to adjust the
resolution accordingly. However, this does work when the qxl kernel module is
blacklisted.
This was originally observed on an ubuntu xenial (16.04) guest.
Trying different viewers - virt-manager's console window, remote-viewer,
virt-viewer, didn't make a difference.

Just FYI, the @grsecurity account tweeted the following today:

No idea how relevant this is for reproducible builds in Debian. Just

Bug#823232: [Pkg-openldap-devel] Bug#823232: libldap-2.4-2: Cannot connect to LDAP server with invalid (self-signed or non-standard CA signed) certificate

2016-05-14 Thread Ryan Tandy

Control: tag -1 confirmed upstream
Control: retitle -1 libldap-2.4-2: default TLS context setup ignores options
set on connection

Hello,

Sorry for the delayed response.

On Mon, May 02, 2016 at 05:44:58PM +0300, Aki Tuomi wrote:

Most simple usecase:

2. Try connect with openldap -Z -H ldap://server ...

Actual behaviour

ldap_start_tls: Connect error (-11)

This appears to work for me, tested as follows:

- in a clean jessie system, apt-get install ssl-cert slapd ldap-utils
- add the openldap user to the ssl-cert group
- configure slapd to use the snakeoil (self-signed) certs

$ LDAPTLS_REQCERT=allow ldapwhoami -ZZ -x
anonymous

Another option, which I personally would prefer, is to set the CA cert
just for LDAP:

$ LDAPTLS_CACERT=/etc/ssl/certs/ssl-cert-snakeoil.pem ldapwhoami -ZZ -x
anonymous

Workaround, of course, is to install the non-standard CA as trusted CA
certificate. But the man page *does* say that it really should work.

Right, installing the non-standard CA system wide should not be
necessary, for either of the options above.

The same behaviour occurs with direct LDAP library usage with

 int opt = LDAP_OPT_X_TLS_ALLOW;
 ldap_set_option(conn->conn, LDAP_OPT_X_TLS, );
 ldap_set_option(conn->conn, LDAP_OPT_X_TLS_REQUIRE_CERT, );

Again, this should allow non-trusted certificate on peer, which is appears
not to do.

As a side note, the LDAP_OPT_X_TLS option is deprecated in favour of
ldap_start_tls(3):

http://www.openldap.org/lists/openldap-software/200706/msg00159.html

The documentation apparently doesn't talk about this, but it looks like
what happens is that you get a default TLS context, initialized using
the global options, unless you specifically ask for a new one using
LDAP_OPT_X_TLS_NEWCTX.

So this works:

int require_cert = LDAP_OPT_X_TLS_ALLOW;
rc = ldap_set_option(ld, LDAP_OPT_X_TLS_REQUIRE_CERT, _cert);
assert(rc == LDAP_SUCCESS);

int new_ctx = 0;
rc = ldap_set_option(ld, LDAP_OPT_X_TLS_NEWCTX, _ctx);
assert (rc == LDAP_SUCCESS);

rc = ldap_start_tls_s(ld, NULL, NULL);
assert(rc == LDAP_SUCCESS);

and this works:

int require_cert = LDAP_OPT_X_TLS_ALLOW;
rc = ldap_set_option(NULL, LDAP_OPT_X_TLS_REQUIRE_CERT, _cert);
assert(rc == LDAP_SUCCESS);

LDAP *ld;
rc = ldap_initialize(, "ldap://;);
assert(rc == LDAP_SUCCESS);

rc = ldap_start_tls_s(ld, NULL, NULL);
assert(rc == LDAP_SUCCESS);

but this doesn't work:

int require_cert = LDAP_OPT_X_TLS_ALLOW;
rc = ldap_set_option(ld, LDAP_OPT_X_TLS_REQUIRE_CERT, _cert);
assert(rc == LDAP_SUCCESS);

rc = ldap_start_tls_s(ld, NULL, NULL);
assert(rc == LDAP_SUCCESS);

Other people have noticed this, too:

http://stackoverflow.com/a/27713355
http://www.openldap.org/its/?findid=7843

I'm guessing this is intended behaviour, and the documentation should be
clarified. I'll follow up with upstream. Thanks for the report!

Failing to uninstall is even worse:
Removing lsm (1.0.4-1) ...
[] Stopping Link Monitor.: lsminvoke-rc.d: initscript lsm, action "stop"
failed.
dpkg: error processing package lsm (--purge):
 subprocess installed pre-removal script returned error exit status 1
Errors were encountered while processing:
 lsm

Please either use --oknodo in the stop target or otherwise make it handle
the "wasn't running" case as success. I see you attempt to do so, but "set
-e" breaks that.

Bug#824363: glibc: Update debian xfail list for hppa

2016-05-14 Thread John David Anglin
Source: glibc
Version: 2.22
Severity: normal
Tags: patch

Dear Maintainer,

The attach patch updated the hppa xfail list based on the failures seen
in various builds for 2.22. It adds two tests that sometimes fail.

Both tests fail during the unwind phase of cancellation. It seems the
stack is being clobbered in a timing dependent manner and this breaks
the unwind. The cause of the unwind failure is still undertermined.

This appears to be the reason many cancellation and cleanup tests fail
on hppa.

With this change and the other two patches provided today, glibc should
now build successfully on hppa.

Regards,
Dave Anglin

Hmm, it looks like you merely added a space and lowercased V:

   While simple to configure, provides easy way reconfigure routes, calling
notifyscript.

   lsm very configurable program, but doesn't support domain names yet.

These two lines don't quite make sense...

> > 3. Typo: exectuble.
> if you mean man page typo, fixed.

It's still in the init script, line 32.

Too bad, when actually trying to install the package:

[] Starting Link Monitor.: lsminvoke-rc.d: initscript lsm, action "start"
failed.
dpkg: error processing package lsm (--install):
 subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1
Processing triggers for man-db (2.7.5-1) ...
Errors were encountered while processing:
 lsm

[~]# /etc/init.d/lsm start
[] Starting Link Monitor.: lsm[~]# echo $?
1
(no newline, by the way -- init scripts shouldn't use "set -e")

[~]# lsm --config /etc/lsm/lsm.conf
[~]# echo $?
1

An error message describing what went wrong would be nice...

Only upon checking the syslog I see:
May 15 00:30:37 umbar lsm[12853]: no targets found in config file
yet according to comments in /etc/lsm/lsm.conf:
# Defaults for the connection entries
# These are set in the code. You may override any values here.
which suggests there's no need to edit the config for basic functionality.

If I read this wrong and some setup is needed, then the package shouldn't
try to start the daemon on initial install, and provide a feedback that
editing the config file is required.

There's no documentation describing what's needed to get lsm running.

Also, it appears the only copy of upstream's changelog is hidden inside
lsm.spec (lines between "%changelog" and "#EOF"). Please cut this (with sed
or a similar tool) and install as /usr/share/doc/*/changelog.gz

In /usr/share/doc/lsm/examples/lsm.conf.sample, there are references to
/usr/libexec/lsm/ instead of /usr/share/lsm/, it'd be nice to sed that to
what's installed on Debian.

> > Meow!
> Done.

Hah! This was intended as an onomatopeia not an imperative, but I really
like your interpretation :)

Bug#824362: glibc: Fix failure of debug/backtrace-tst on hppa

2016-05-14 Thread John David Anglin
Source: glibc
Version: 2.22
Severity: normal
Tags: patch

Dear Maintainer,

The failure of the debug/backtrace-tst was introduced by the
hppa/submitted-dladdr.diff patch. The code was not prepared to handle
being passed an arbitrary address. As a result, _dl_lookup_address
generates a segmentation fault.

I believe this fixes one or two other tests as well.

This is BZ 20098:
https://sourceware.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=20098

A patch to fix this problem in the upstream source is here:
https://sourceware.org/ml/libc-alpha/2016-05/txti8b7kcvurW.txt

Attached is a replacement for the current hppa/submitted-dladdr.diff patch.

Please update current patch.

Thanks,
Dave

It's probably related to #762719, but I'd guess instead of a password
protected PDF, it's due to some other recently used bad file. If you
still have this problem, can you try to clear the recently used list by:

mv ~/.local/share/recently-used.xbel ~/

And see if that fixes it? And if it does fix it, go through
recently-used.xbel to see if you can find which document crashes evince?

Bug#824361: bash: (readline) please ignore "bracketed paste" (\e[200~, \e[201~)

2016-05-14 Thread Adam Borowski
Package: bash
Version: 4.3-14+b1
Severity: wishlist

Hi!
If a buggy program fails to turn off the "bracketed paste mode" (enabled with
"\e[?2004h", disabled with "\e[?2004l"), all pastes get prefixed with "\e[200~"
and suffixed with "\e[201~". Bash's readline cuts that to 00~ and 01~.
While it is the program's duty to clean up the terminal to sane settings, it
wouldn't hurt to have bash ignore these codes.

One of such programs is mc=3:4.8.17-1 (#824359).

Bug#824359: mc: breaks paste in vte-based terminals

2016-05-14 Thread Adam Borowski
Package: mc
Version: 3:4.8.17-1
Severity: normal

Hi!
I'm afraid that the new version of mc fails to clean up the terminal
settings when exiting. If the selection is "foo", what's getting pasted is:
00~foo01~

The actual bytes are:
  1b 5b 32 30 30 7e 66 6f  6f 1b 5b 32 30 31 7e 0a  |.[200~foo.[201~.|

There's no regression in xterm or rxvt, there is in xfce4-terminal and
lxterminal (and presumably anything else vte based).

Reinstalling mc=3:4.8.15-2 (testing) makes paste work again.

This is so called "bracketed paste mode", set by "\e[?2004h" which new mc
enables at start. To clear it, please emit "\e[?2004l".

Bug#824358: ITP: freerdp2 -- RDP client/server for Windows Terminal Services

2016-05-14 Thread Mike Gabriel
Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist
Owner: Mike Gabriel

* Package name: freerdp2
  Version : 2.x (Git snapshot)
  Upstream Author : Marc André Moreau
* URL : http://www.freerdp.com
* License : Apache-2.0
  Programming Lang: C
  Description : RDP client/server for Windows Terminal Services

 FreeRDP is a libre client/server implementation of the Remote
 Desktop Protocol (RDP).
 .
 The new major upstream version (well, upstream is not tagging versions,
 but we have one upstream dev on the packaging team who recommends Git
 snapshots) provides new ABI/API. This new source will supercede the
 currently available Debian source package "freerdp".
 .
 From now on, upstream will support parallel installations of multiple
 major upstream releases. So shipping both FreeRDP versions in Debian
 unstable for a while is possible. However, only freerdp2 will be
 made available in Debian 9.
 .
 Packages depending on FreeRDP shared libraries should start migrating
 their packages to the new ABI/API for FreeRDP 2.x.
 .
 A transition bug will be file for monitoring this change-over,
 once the freerdp2 src:package has landed in unstable.

Wow, that wasn't so easy to guess; there's a odroid target and a README file
saying XU3 should work, so how would one guess that odroid-xu3 was the right
target :-)

Yes; using that (and the hardkernel_1mb_uboot BL1/BL2/layout/etc.) gives me a
shiny U-Boot with USB and PXE and lots of shiny magic, so the package in
experimental does indeed fix this bug. It still doesn't boot, of course, but
I'm 98% sure that's my own fault.

I suppose there's no d-i support happening for the XU4 anytime soon? :-)

This looks similar to #696661.

I would guess that named would not try to load the OpenSSL GOST engine
at all if BIND is configured and built with --without-gost. Given the
very few number of domains that are DNSSEC signed with GOST (compared
even to RSA or ECDSA) and the problems that have to be patched around
that are caused by OpenSSL engines I wonder if the Debian bind9 package
should be built with --without-gost.

Bug#824260: [tlbuild] texlive build failures on Debian - upmendex

2016-05-14 Thread Karl Berry
Do you think (or AKira) that this is the problem for mips?
For sparc I am a bit stymed.

Yes, it's all about BigEndian architectures (and ICU and upmendex).
(And don't bother explaining that sparc is endian-neutral, the practical
reality is that it is still bigendian in our world.)

And the -DU_IS_BIG_ENDIAN=0 kludge I found is a big pain and I wish
someone, anyone, could find the real bug and the real fix. (For next
year.) I can't go there again.

Another approach, simpler and just as viable IMHO, would be (I assume)
--disable-upmendex :).  --karl

I think that it is marked as unreproducible because
the debug symbol package was not reproducible, so I discard it.

Bug#824346: sort(1): misleading description of option -n

2016-05-14 Thread Carsten Hey
You both misread my mails, and I partly misread Michael's mail, which
lead to discussing things we all are aware of.

The intention of this $'x 10\nx 9' example was to show how people only
knowing the man page, but not POSIX or the info manual would use, and
actually do use, the option -n.

A real world example of such a useless use of -n, taken from
backuptool.sh shipped with some Android firmware images is:

# Execute /system/addon.d/*.sh scripts with $1 parameter
run_stage() {
for script in $(find /tmp/addon.d/ -name '*.sh' |sort -n); do
  $script $1
done
}

And a reason why some people think this would work is for this is that
“compare according to string numerical value” is ambiguous. A less
ambiguous replacement could be “compare according to string initial
numerical value”, but I assume there are way better ways to describe
this.

These are a lot of mails and words for such a small change …

I did. I remembered that it would also work w/o this line, but not the
reason. Assuming that the reason was that empty lines would stop
processing input obviously was wrong - the reason was that parse errors
are ignored and finally also lead to stop processing input.

AFAIK I never had such an error in a script, but I see such errors from
time to time in other scripts.

Bug#824357: gl2ps: Package is setting wrong soname

2016-05-14 Thread Peter Mattern
Source: gl2ps
Version: 1.3.8-1.2
Severity: important

Current packages of GL2PS are providing a shared library libgl2ps.so.0.0.0 with
soname libgl2ps.so.0 but compiling upstream code from source yields a library
libgl2ps.so.1.3.8 with soname libgl2ps.so.1.

Problem is due to patches which were needed to compile earlier upstream
versions but haven't been adjusted to recent ones, in particular to the
introduction of CMake.

Bug#824356: XU4 does not boot

2016-05-14 Thread Steinar H. Gunderson
Package: u-boot-exynos
Version: 2016.03+dfsg1-4
Severity: important

Hi,

I'm trying to make a bootable SD card on my XU4 (100% compatible with XU3).
It works fine if I use the binary U-Boot binary from Hardkernel, but it is
a relatively old U-Boot, and I'd like to use Debian's instead.

However, if I swap out u-boot.bin.hardkernel with
/usr/lib/u-boot/odroid/u-boot-dtb.bin, the system plain out does not boot --
there's no hint of what's wrong, there's just nothing on the serial console.
I've tried both the layout from Hardkernel's sd_fusing.sh (which works with
their U-Boot) and the ones from /usr/share/doc/u-boot-exynos/README.odroid.gz,
and both have the exact same result. (I don't really know where these sector
offsets come from, though; they don't seem to be equivalent to just cat-ing
everything together.)

I'm including the script that I'm using to build; it doesn't actually build
a booting system (it's unfinished and doesn't have a boot.ini), but if you
uncomment the part where it uses the official Hardkernel U-Boot instead of the
one from Debian, it actually starts U-Boot on the serial console and tries to
launch a kernel from there. I've been running it from an amd64 sid system
like this:

  ./prepare.sh /dev/mmcblk0 256 sid http://debian.samfundet.no/debian

where http://debian.samfundet.no/debian is my local armhf mirror.

I'm having trouble reproducing this too. From your description, it
sounds like this happens when viewing the PDF or switching between
windows? If this happens regularly to you, can you run evince in a
debugger and provide a stack trace? Please see
http://live.gnome.org/GettingTraces for more information on how to do
so.

Additionally, to get a good stack trace with debugging symbols, you'll
need to install some debug packages. Debugging symbols for Evince's
dependencies can be installed with:

apt-get install gnome-dbg poppler-dbg libcairo2-dbg

Debug symbols for Evince itself have recently moved to the automatic
debugging symbols system which is still a little awkward to use. For an
up to date stretch/testing system, you can install these by adding this
line to /etc/apt/sources.list:

   deb http://debug.mirrors.debian.org/debian-debug/ unstable-debug main

And running the command:

apt-get update && apt-get install -t unstable-debug evince-dbgsym \
libevdocument3-4-dbgsym libevview3-3-dbgsym

Yes, it's unstable-debug, but testing-debug doesn't work yet and Evince
in unstable and testing currently match so it should be OK.

2016-05-14 Thread David Prévot
Hi Julien,

> Could you have a look and tell me if it's ok?

debian/libjs-moment.install contains now:

locale usr/share/javascript/moment/locale

You probably meant:

locale usr/share/javascript/moment

(Assuming you don’t want the locales in
/usr/share/javascript/moment/locale/locale since they seems looked up in
('./locale/' + name) according to the code.)

owncloud-news has been removed from the archive in the mean time, so I
don’t have a real testbed to check it further, sorry.

So obviously this repo is gone.

Did anyone get the chance to clone a copy of it? It's not on the
internet archive or anywhere i can see.

It seems that upstream has its own debian package now:

https://github.com/piwik/piwik-package

Maybe that could be of interest here?

Thank you very much!

"REPREPRO_BASE_DIR" works perfectly for me.

However, I think that "REPREPRO_CONFIG_DIR" would have to be used
instead of "REPREPRO_CONF_DIR". (Sorry, I also wrote it wrong once in my

It occurs to me that this might be quite a corner-case because my

margin from the bounding box of the two monitors together rather than
from the edge of the visible area where the panel is actually located.

I've sent a patch upstream to ignore the DRM error. Apparently it's
due to DRM, see:
https://github.com/Bumblebee-Project/Bumblebee/issues/652
I'll also backport it as a patch since it's a very annoying red herring.

Besides this, do you have other issues with Bumblebee or is it working?

Bug#824346: sort(1): misleading description of option -n

Carsten Hey wrote:

But you forgot to terminate the command with 'thanks' or 'stop' and
therefore the entire rest of your message went to the control robot
generating many parse errors.

  https://www.debian.org/Bugs/server-control

Mike thoroughly understood the behavior and documentation of sort.
However you are misinterpreting POSIX here.

Since coreutils 8.6 sort now accepts a --debug option. That is very
useful to understand what sort is doing.

  $ printf '%s\n' 'x 9' 'x 10' | sort -n --debug
  sort: using simple byte comparison
  x 10
  ^ no match for key

  x 9
  ^ no match for key
  ___

  $ printf '%s\n' 'x 9' 'x 10' | sort -k2,2n --debug
  sort: using simple byte comparison
  x 9
_
  ___
  x 10
__

As you can see the options Mike provided were the correct usage that
you should be using. Using -n as you were doing doesn't work because
you do not have a numeric value in the first field.

The GNU man page for sort (which is the one Debian is using) says:

   -n, --numeric-sort
  compare according to string numerical value

As the man page states the man page is a quick reference and the full
documentation exists in the accompanying info page. The info page
documentation says:

  ‘-n’
  ‘--numeric-sort’
  ‘--sort=numeric’
 Sort numerically. The number begins each line and consists of
 optional blanks, an optional ‘-’ sign, and zero or more digits
 possibly separated by thousands separators, optionally followed by
 a decimal-point character and zero or more digits. An empty number
 is treated as ‘0’. The ‘LC_NUMERIC’ locale specifies the
 decimal-point character and thousands separator. By default a
 blank is a space or a tab, but the ‘LC_CTYPE’ locale can change
 this.

 Comparison is exact; there is no rounding error.

 Neither a leading ‘+’ nor exponential notation is recognized. To
 compare such strings numerically, use the ‘--general-numeric-sort’
 (‘-g’) option.

Your input data did not meet the above criteria. Your leading "x"
character is not an optional blank character nor an optional
minus-sign, and so forth. You have quoted the exact words from the
online standards documentation but your input does not meet that
criteria.

Here you are attempting a numeric sort across the entire line. "x 10"
is zero. "x 9" is zero. The value of both lines is zero.

No. This is incorrect. Use the sort --debug option to verify.

Of course this is correct.

  $ printf '%s asdf\n' 10 9 | sort -n --debug
  sort: using simple byte comparison
  9 asdf
  _

  10 asdf

  ___

The comparison field starts with a number. 9 is compared with 10.

The comparison field is a string. "10 asdf" is compared with "9 asdf".

Cher Georges,

Jean-Pierre
