There's no segfault there.
Please start gscan2pdf from the command line with the --log=log
option, if necessary, hit OK to select the crashed session, reproduce
the problem (i.e. the segfaul), quit, and post the log file, which
gscan2pdf may have compressed with xz.

confusing.
