Dear Maintainer,
tried to have a look at another bug report, but found X not starting up.
I could reproduce this inside a qemu VM started with:
qemu-system-i386 -enable-kvm -cpu pentium-v1 ...
So due to the current documentation [1] it looks like plain Pentium will
not be supported in
guile-3.0 3.0.8-2 builds fine (on the buildds and locally).
Should this bug be closed?

Hi Yves-Alexis,
With another user bumping into this issue, I am keen to have it resolved in
bookworm.
I think adding
session optional pam_elogind.so
to /etc/pam.d/lighdm-greeter is the best and correct fix.
I know you have been reluctant in the past, but would you consider it again.
Hello piorunz,
I tried to get some more information from your dmesg line and think
the crash takes place in function udisks_drive_ata_get_smart_enabled.

Actually debootstrap must write it as _empty_, to avoid running into
first boot setup.[1]
Package: mmdebstrap
Version: 1.2.1-2
Severity: serious
mmdebstrap writed "uninitialized" to /etc/machine-id. This triggers
first boot semantic[1], so makes the boot wait for input.
Please write an empty file if you are not equipped to handle first boot
questions.
