Bug#460953: stunnel4: Incorrect stunnel.pem path stated in README.Debian

2008-01-15 Thread Andrey Rahmatullin
Package: stunnel4
Version: 3:4.21-1
Severity: normal

/usr/share/doc/stunnel4/README.Debian says: The certificates default
directory is /etc/ssl/certs, so cd into that dir [...] stunnel.pem will
be used by default by stunnel. This is incorrect and confusing, because
stunnel when run without config file or -p tries to use
/etc/stunnel/stunnel.pem:

$ stunnel
2008.01.15 20:24:26 LOG3[22177:3082679984]: /etc/stunnel/stunnel.pem: No
such file or directory (2)

And the default config file /etc/stunnel/stunnel.conf contains
references to /etc/stunnel/mail.pem.

2008-01-31 Thread Andrey Rahmatullin
All that I can say now: ejabberd starts after dpkg-reconfigure erlang-base
and after reinstalling erlang-base using dpkg; it starts even if -detached
is removed from initscript. But it doesn't start after apt-get install
--reinstall erlang-base (with -detached not removed).

Bug#381353: Patch is broken

2008-06-13 Thread Andrey Rahmatullin
2:4.6.2~git20080311-1 has debian/patches/mc.ext/01_tar_forgot_arg.patch
which is broken: tar tvvf - %f should be tar tvvf - %f as in
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?msg=19;filename=mc.ext.diff;att=1;bug=381353
and in older versions of the package.
Current version breaks viewing of all .tar files.

If mc is started in ru_RU.KOI8-R locale, it can't view files containing
KOI8-R symbols. For example, абвгдежзик is shown as 012345678: and
АБВГДЕЖЗИК as ^^Z. Similar problems exist in ALT Linux (which
uses Debian utf8-slang2 patch), but only when mc is built with slang2.

I've found that even 1.0.4 doesn't segfault here anymore (maybe because of
newer nVidia drivers). I've tested 1.0.7 just in case and it works too.

Thanks for your report; however, this is the expected behavior.
eclipse-platform contains a minimum of required plugins to run eclipse.
Well, ALT Linux Eclipse (3.5 too) allows me to install *and* successfully
use the same plugins without installing eclipse-jdt subpackage. When I
try to install pydev on the clean profile, it shows only CVS Client,
Help System, Platform, RCP and Equinox p2 Provisioning. In the
case of Debian Eclipse much more items are shown.

As in it allows you to use eclipse's installer to install the parts of
jdt you need for the plugin you are installing?
I mean the screen with licenses which is shown after selecting software
but before its installation. Of course the aforementioned components are
already installed system-wide, but it is shown in the Installation
details dialog (accessed from the About dialog) only after the first
plugin is installed.

understand what is really happening only after the third time. This msgstr was
committed by yuray-guest as r66491. Some explanations for the translators
follow.

Link detection

PYTHONPATH=build/lib.linux-x86_64-2.6 tests/run_data_tests.py

Note that run_all_tests.py runs interactive tests too.

If the stuff at your link is a patched git tree instead of a separate

Bug#624104: override: python-pybabel:oldlibs/extra

2011-04-25 Thread Andrey Rahmatullin
Package: ftp.debian.org
Severity: normal

python-pybabel_0.9.6-1_all.deb: package says section is oldlibs, override says
python.
python-pybabel_0.9.6-1_all.deb: package says priority is optional, override
says extra.

The package was renamed from python-pybabel to python-babel and python-pybabel
package is now empty transitional one so it should go to oldlibs. New
'optional' priority looks like an error to me, so it should stay 'extra', this
will be fixed in the next upload.

(Describe here the reason for this change)

libdap 3.10.2 dropped libdap::AISConnect without soname bump, see

The soname is apparently bumped since then in their SVN. The change breaks at

2011-08-18 Thread Andrey Rahmatullin
reassign 638210 libgdal1-1.7.0 1.7.3-5
retitle 638210 Rebuild against libdap11
severity 638210 grave
tags 638210 + sid
kthxbye

The library doesn't cause only FTBFSes, it breaks all software linked
against it.

The library is linked against old libdap10 and doesn't work with new
libdap10 (3.10.2-2) which removed a symbol without soname bump (#638022).
As libdap11 with the new soname is already in the archive, libgdal1-1.7.0
can and should be linked against it. Until then, it will be broken in sid.

must be a proper transition from libdap10 to libdap11 and apparently from
monolithic libdap* to per-soname packages, with proper coordination.

Bug#639559: Doesn't listen at all

2011-08-28 Thread Andrey Rahmatullin
Package: sbnc
Version: 1.2-24
Severity: grave

After upgrading to 1.2-24 sbnc ceased to listen to the configured port. Neither
system.port nor system.sslport are honored. ps shows that sbnc doesn't fork:

16797 ?Ss 0:01 /usr/sbin/sbnc

Here is the usual state:

24642 ?Ss 0:00 /usr/sbin/sbnc
24643 ?Sl 0:00 \_ /usr/sbin/sbnc --rpc-child

Downgrading to 1.2-23 without any other changes helps.

Bug#636875: Problems with resolution settings

2011-08-06 Thread Andrey Rahmatullin
Package: supertux
Version: 0.3.3-2
Severity: normal

When I launch the game, it uses only a part of the fullscreen. When I open the
settings, the resolution is listed as 320x175 (the lowest one), even though the
real one is obviously higher. Magnification is shown as 'auto' though if I
change it to something and then to 'auto' again, the image fills the screen
(i.e. the normal and expected situation). Magnification on 100% produces the
same size as just after start, 125% still less than the screen and 160% larger
than the screen. My native resolution and the resolution set in the options is
1920x1080, but the problems persist with lower resolutions too.

 Dear Maintainer,

On my system it works only outside virtualenv... Another words: I can
reporoduce this on my systems in virtualenvs.
It's not a problem of python-pip.
For new venvs it's a problem of python-virtualenv that contains an
embedded source of pip 1.1 in /usr/share/python-virtualenv/pip-1.1.tar.gz
For old venvs I'm afraid there can be no proper solution aside from
installing the new pip version (unreleased yet) with easy_install.

Bug#680720: 30_os-prober tries to chainload +1 on UEFI

2012-07-08 Thread Andrey Rahmatullin
Package: grub-common
Version: 1.99-22.1
Severity: normal

If /etc/grub.d/30_os-prober encounters e.g. Windows (maybe in some other cases)
it generates chainloader +1 instruction which cannot work on EFI and will
yield Invalid EFI file path on boot. An EFI bootloader apparently cannot
chainload a BIOS bootloader at all, OTOH it could be possible to detect EFI
systems and chainload them.

Bug#665776: AttributeError: 'module' object has no attribute 'urandom'

 Dear Maintainer,

After upgrade from 2.7.2-10 to 2.7.3~rc2-1 os.urandom disappeared in python
 executables, stored in virtualenvs:

 /home/breton/src/cm/env/bin/python
 (env)breton ~/src/cm/cm % python
 Python 2.7.2+ (default, Oct 4 2011, 15:44:37)

From http://www.virtualenv.org/en/latest/news.html :

Warning: Python bugfix releases 2.6.8, 2.7.3, 3.1.5 and 3.2.3 include a
change that will cause “import random” to fail with “cannot import name
urandom” on any virtualenv created on a Unix host with an earlier release
of Python 2.6/2.7/3.1/3.2, if the underlying system Python is upgraded.
This is due to the fact that a virtualenv uses the system Python’s
standard library but contains its own copy of the Python interpreter, so
an upgrade to the system Python results in a mismatch between the version
of the Python interpreter and the version of the standard library. It can
be fixed by removing $ENV/bin/python and re-running virtualenv on the same
target directory with the upgraded Python.

That is, again, what you get when you copy distribution-provided files :-/

Bug#674747: Initscript breaks /var/log/munin permissions

2012-05-27 Thread Andrey Rahmatullin
Package: munin-node
Version: 2.0~rc6-3
Severity: normal

From /etc/init.d/munin-node:

mkdir -p /var/run/munin /var/log/munin
chown munin:root /var/run/munin
chown munin:www-data /var/log/munin
chmod 0755 /var/run/munin
chmod 0771 /var/log/munin

That leads to incorrect /var/log/munin permissions, which are inconsistent with
permissions from the package and break logrotate.
