Go VfL Borussia
(or better the -dev) package job to
set a correct shlibs entry. Thus I reassign this bug.

I tested it and on my system it's kwrite being used as editor. Therefore
I reassign the bug. However, it might be different on your system, so
please test and tell us or even reassign the bug elsewhere if
appropriate.

I reassign this bug to the appropriate kernel image. If you find out
whether it still exists in the newer kernels please move there for
reference.

Could you please tell us why you re-opened this bug? At least I think it

Quite a difference IMO.

Package: bison-1.35
Version: 1.35-4.1
Severity: important
Dear Maintainer,
while reviewing some packages, your package came up as a package that
should maybe be removed from the archive, because:
* No upstream activity.
* Last maintainer upload 2004.
* Not a high popcon with about 200
Package: gnats
Version: 4.1.0-0.4
Severity: normal
Subject says it all. Gnats seems to build well with the normal bison
package instead of the old bison-1.35 one.

was to disable the high precision timer by adding
hpet=disable to my command line.
Checking whether the right rtc module is included is probably the next
step, but before I need to keep it running some more time to see whether
the problem is really fixed.

Yes, this one's ugly.

Go VfL Borussia! Go SF 49ers! Use Debian GNU/Linux! Use PostgreSQL
I applied that patch given in this bugreport and recompiled the Debian
packges. It seems that this successfully solved my problem as well as
I'm using the kernel for about one day now without a problem.

Go VfL Borussia! Go SF 49ers! Use

Is there another way of testing this?
I don't really see the problem. You can have both kernels installed at
the same time. Just install the 2.6.25 package, boot into this kernel
once, test acpi, boot back into 2.6.24 and remove the 2.6.25 package
again.

/usr/bin/perl: symbol lookup error:

But I think what Andreas was refering to is the message

that comes from a recompiled version. It seems to work as advertised but
always brings up this message.
