It turns out non-starting part of the bug only appears when using using
a $HOME that had GNOME on it at one time, then XFCE and doing a fresh
install of the system (e.g. only $HOME is the same).

I've noticed the following odd behaviour of esdplay (with pulseaudio backend at

Using xfce4-mpc-plugin is imposible because, as soon as the song changes,
mousing over the panel causes a segfault. I attach a backtrace, but without

Subject: gnomebaker: Progress bar and time estimates horribly inaccurate

At least for blanking and cd/dvd image burning the progress bar and time

Severity: normal
The first time (for a session) trying to launch rhythmbox fails and it must be
launched a second time before it actually comes up. This problem is also
present in Ubuntu Gutsy on several machines I have worked on.

I would be very helpful if 2.0 could be installed alongside 2.1 because 2.1

I have just tried to make this (LVM on crypto partition on top of real

dist-upgrading to lenny. That doesn't work, and one ends up with the same
unbootable system as in the original bug report.
I suspect the problem is that
