Hi all,
since some weeks ago I've been experiencing that USB devices mounted through
uhci_hcd fail to mount in my system while those mounted through ehci_hcd do
mount flawlessly.
The two specific devices that are failing are:

I've been investigating further on these issues and I'm glad to tell you
that the HP DeskJet F380 scanning issue was actually about permissions,
exactly the bug stated here:

Any attempt to use a GNOME based application from gnome-terminal with root
privileges results in the following warning:

But the issue is that this prevents any GNOME application to not be able to
load its gconf settings (for root). So, the very same gnome-terminal run
from gksu looks absolutely broken.
Maybe am I missing something?

I've been monitoring my ~/.xsession-errors and couldn't find any problem but
the disconnection of GNOME's session manager. As you'll see below,
gnome-panel and nautilus report issues because of this. But, after
continuous usage, also PulseAudio, gnome-power-manager and others also do
Hm... Trying to install gnome-session from unstable (2.26.2-1) would lead me
into a big dependency conflict as I'd have to carefully choose the correct
graphic drivers.
