Just merged/dput upstream changes. Which, skipping log entries and such, change a single memcpy to memmove. Did not do the download docs yet; I'm not sure if it can really be automated since their download snapshot system changes what extra goo is included every couple years.

This would help since while your other mail presents "some kind of documentation" it would help to make it more obvious. ;-) Kind regards Andreas. -- http://fam-tille.de

Thanks for moving the repo, that's great. Please feel free to collaboratively maintain the package; that's what collab-maint is for! A couple years ago I reworked the f2c compiler and library into a single source with an autotools-based build. I have not uploaded it, but I think it's all pretty much good to go. https://github.com/barak/f2c-1.git If you'd have a look, I'd very much appreciate it. Seemed like a big step to replace the current f2c / libf2c with this so I didn't actually push the red button. But I think it would make sense at some point. Especially if upstream is not completely moribund as I'd assumed, but maybe could be convinced to upstream this. Anyway, I'll have a look at the new upstream release, and try to document some of this per your suggestion, in debian/README.source or such. Cheers, --Barak.

Package: f2c Severity: wishlist Hi, I took the freedom to move f2c to salsa[1] and do a team upload since I'm in the process of caring for rdepends of those packages I'm maintaining that are hanging around in collab-maint. I hope you like this. When doing so I noticed that the version.c file that is refered to in d/watch now has version 20160102. I hesitated to upgrade to this new version to keep changes basically moving to salsa and some general packaging updates. The changelog for the new version looks as if it might make sense to take over but I was not even clear about the procedure how to create the upstream tarball. Some debian/get-orig-script would be helpful here. Thanks for maintaining f2c Andreas.
