dh_installexamples(1) and dh_install(1), respectively, during the
package build. debhelper(7) has a list of similar commands.

Anyway, thanks for taking a look! I uploaded the package earlier today
with the corrected patch. The latest changes should already be in git,
but the package itself needs ftpmaster approval before it can enter the
archive because I added a new binary package (gridengine-dev).

bundled with other things in the unanimity suite.
