Building gcj or gcc-snapshot on a system downgraded to glibc-2.5

with a segfault. Reverting to 2.6-2 lets the bootstrap succeed.
The only significant difference between 2.6-2 and 2.6-3 is that we use
gcc-4.2 to build the glibc. So it looks like gcc-4.2 is broken.
