Since no one was able to test the provided patch, linux-2.6 2.6.18.dfsg.1-12
has been uploaded to unstable without it, which means fixing this has missed

Bug#416374: kernel: data corruption with nvidia chipsets and
Package: linux-source-2.6.18
Version: 2.6.18.dfsg.1-11
Severity: important
This is similar to 265747, which was determined to be a kernel problem, but this
is happening with a different kernel version, different package (wodim) and
different drive.
I insert a blank CD-R disk in the drive.
See #416388

fyi, I've been trying to reproduce this in 2.6.18, but haven't been
able to. The vserver developers believe the bug wasn't actually
introduced until 2.6.19. So, our patch in -12 was likely unnecessary.

Hi fellow kernel team member,
Well, given the DAMs judgement on the expulsion process, it is clear i won't
be around during the year to come and i am unsure if i will ever wish to come
back after that, only time will tell, i wish you all good luck and hope you
make good work on the debian kernel
